FastLabel Joins the Heiwajima Autonomous Driving Council Based at Tokyo Ryutsu Center Inc.

FastLabel Inc. (Headquarters: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Takeshi Suzuki; hereinafter "FastLabel"), which supports the entire process required for Data-centric AI development, from data collection and generation to annotation, model development, and DataOps implementation, today announced that it has joined the Heiwajima Autonomous Driving Council (hereinafter, the "Council"), based at Tokyo Ryutsu Center Inc. (Headquarters: Ota-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Tetsuji Arimori; hereinafter "TRC").

In this sixth round of participation, 14 diverse organizations—including logistics system companies, mobility operation management providers, railway operators, and research institutions—newly joined the Council, bringing the total number of participating organizations to 50.

Background of Participation
Against the backdrop of a worsening labor shortage and growing demand for deliveries in the logistics industry, expectations continue to grow for the social implementation of autonomous driving technologies and Physical AI in the logistics sector.

FastLabel has provided end-to-end support for the collection of training data, annotation, and the construction of data pipelines, all of which are essential for autonomous driving development. Through its participation in the Council, FastLabel will work together with the participating organizations to underpin reliable autonomous driving technologies with high-quality data and contribute to the further advancement of autonomous driving technologies in Japan.

The Council is a platform where companies, government agencies, and research institutions collaborate to advance the implementation of autonomous driving technologies, using the TRC premises as a demonstration field.

Demonstration experiments related to autonomous driving technologies are conducted on the TRC premises on an ongoing basis. In addition, the council promotes open innovation through collaboration among its members in non-competitive areas, while also supporting company-specific technology development through the use of the demonstration field, with the aim of advancing the autonomous driving industry and addressing social challenges facing the logistics sector.
